Basic and immediate airway management! In this course you will learn or get refreshed on basic and advanced airway skills and knowledge. There will be demonstration videos of utilizing airway devices in this lecture as well as proper management and technique. The skill to manage an airway effectively and safely is critical in emergency care. Failure to manage a patient's airway appropriately in an emergency situation where a patient needs airway protection can result in hypoxic brain damage and death. Lecturer: Carl Dowling, BSC This course is approved for 1.5 CE/CME. After completing this lecture, you must complete the posttest and course evaluation to earn credits. All non-EMS providers will also have to write a brief reflection.
