- Describe the 3 main generalized causes of shock - Perform rapid initial assessment of a patient in shock and apply proper treatment based on assessment - Increase critical thinking ability when presented with patients who are in shock and understanding which medications might be beneficial depending on type of shock present - Understand the difference between compensated and uncompensated shock Lecturer: Brent Arnold, MD (ED Physician) This course is approved for 1.0 CE/CME. After completing this lecture, you must complete the posttest and course evaluation to earn credits. All non-EMS providers will also have to write a brief reflection.
