COURSE UPDATED to include OEMS 2022 Police Dog Treatment Protocols. You will learn the didactic portion only of this new protocol. This course does not currently meet the OEMS-MA requirements of AR 2-270 and does not satisfy the training requirement on ambulance services in regard to Nero’s Law. A hand-on skills component is required (please confer with your state medical director).
The Pet First Aid & Disaster Response Course is designed to help pet owners provide temporary, urgent care to pets until they can reach a veterinary or emergency clinic. This course will teach you to care for animals before, during, and after an emergency.

Injury prevention and disaster preparation.
Personal safety precautions to help pet owners identify and minimize risks.
A wide array of pet emergencies including bleeding and bite wounds, cardiac arrest, choking, burns, poisoning, trauma, and more.
Earn. 2.0 CEUs. Must take posttest and survey to earn credit.
