Eric Cantor: EMTP, MS
Founder/Owner
Mr. Cantor is the Founder of 120Compressions. He is an active Paramedic, and instructor and has been working in the field for well over a decade. He holds his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Master's Degree in Emergency Services Management. He is a proud member of the NAEMT, and is recognized by two national honor societies for academia and career performance. He is an expert in prehospital medicine, has experience in operations and disaster medicine, and has a passion to teach and share his knowledge and experiences. He is also a Rescue Diver and Divemaster. His goal is to build a worldwide network of healthcare educators to make learning easier, more efficient, and accessible for learners. He is eager to help you and would enjoy helping anyone looking for extra help or AHA certifications, ECG help, or other paramedicine studies.
Brent Arnold, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Arnold is a board-certified traveling Emergency Physician with over 12 years experience in the medical field. Throughout his career, Dr. Arnold has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education. He has served as a mentor and teacher to many aspiring medical professionals and has been recognized for his contributions to the field of medicine. In addition to his work, Dr. Arnold frequently travels in his personal life to remote locations and has a passion for travel, tactical and wilderness medicine. Dr. Arnold's experiences have given him a unique perspective on medical emergencies and the importance of preparedness in high-stress situations, especially in remote and wilderness environments. As the new Medical Director, he is dedicated to ensuring that all healthcare professionals have access to the latest medical knowledge, techniques, and is committed to providing education that is both engaging, effective, and relevant.

William Tollefsen, MD
Assistant Medical Director
Dr. Tollefsen is dual-boarded in Emergency Medicine and EMS Medicine and is the Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care for a Boston Massachusetts area trauma center where he works clinically as an Emergency Physician, in addition to his roles as a Massachusetts regional Medical Director serving 61 cities and towns of the Boston Metro Area and the service EMS Medical Director for eight municipal, three private and one health system based ambulance service with an MIH service line. Dr. Tollefsen interacts and provides direct oversight for over 400 Paramedics.
Dr. Tollefsen graduated from New York Medical College and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Harvard University, Brigham and Women's, and Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services and Critical Care Transport at the University of Massachusetts, where he worked as an Emergency Physician and Flight Physician for UMASS LifeFlight. He completed an MBA at the Isenberg School of Management at UMASS Amherst, and holds a Master of Medical Science degree from the Boston University School of Medicine.
A former pre-hospital provider, he is actively involved in MIH and EMS system design, paramedic education and Critical Care Transport Systems. He works closely with multiple EMS, Fire and Law Enforcement agencies throughout Massachusetts.

Claudia Nichols, NP
Program Director
Ms. Nichols is a Board-Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner currently working in Intensive Care. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and in Criminal Justice as well as a Master of Science in Nursing. Her previous experience includes working as a RN in Trauma, both ER and ICU. Prior to becoming an NP, she worked as a traveling RN for over 5 years which provided her the opportunity to work in a multitude of locations and hospital settings from large teaching hospitals to small critical access facilities. She has a passion for teaching and has been a preceptor throughout the years for nurses, EMTs, and paramedic students.
Verónica Aquilino, MD
Assistant Program Director
Dr. Aquilino, graduated in General Medicine by the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr. T. Popa, Iasi, in 2017, and is enrolled in the Portuguese Doctors Order, South Regional Section. She is the Secretary General of the European Council of Disaster Medicine (ECDM). Dr. Aquilino currently works as a general practitioner in the Center of Vaccination against COVID-19, in the emergency unit, under ARS Algarve, with a previous experience in general medicine consultations in several healthcare centers and emergency departments. She has a passion for disaster medicine. She is the Founder/CEO of the Curso Intensivo de Actuação em Emergência e Catástrofe (CIAEC) or Emergency and Disaster Intensive Course in Portugal, a project comprising several topics in trauma techniques and disaster medicine. Dr. Aquilino created disaster medicine workshops at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Gr. T. Popa, Iasi, and is an affiliated member of the European Council of Disaster Medicine, Brussels. She is an advocate in humanitarian aid, global health, and is associated with CRIMEDIM - University of Piemonte Orientale, Italy and IFMSA - International federation of medical students, through the Training Disaster Medicine Trainers Course (TdmT Course). She has been a speaker at various First Aid/disaster conferences, and has organized various disaster medicine workshops. Dr. Aquilino has a passion for education and is thrilled to have an opportunity to share her knowledge and expertise with you.

Penny Payne, PhD

Dr. Payne is an energetic, experienced and dedicated executive level leader. She is a leader in EMS operations, healthcare, emergency management and higher education. Dr. Payne’s goals and objectives are to have a positive impact on those we serve through quality education. Success is not only measured by how well you perform the tasks ahead of you but whether or not you inspire confidence and success in those you lead and educate. Education is key to self-confidence and overall success.
Christopher Turnbull, AA
Committee Chair Member
Mr. Turnbull has been functioning in some capacity in the emergency services for over 20 years as a Firefighter and Paramedic. He has served in a variety of employment models including private ambulance, hospital-based, firehouse-based, volunteer, and government-based. He has been an educator since 2010, teaching BLS at a local hospital and developing training programs for coworkers. In April 2021, Mr. Turnbull published his first book, The Double-Edged Sword. The book is a reflection of over 20 years of his career with lessons learned the hard way. He calls on EMS providers to take care of each other. Watch out for signs that the home life is not good. Watch for signs that a coworker is in a bad place. And he builds awareness of the stresses that push EMS providers to the edge of the cliff. Chris has since been an advocate for the mental health of EMS providers across the country and with the help of his book has set foot on the international stage.

Carl Dowling, BSC

Mr. Dowling is currently an active paramedic. Not only that but he also works as an educator in the United Kingdom delivering resuscitation training to healthcare staff for the NHS Trust. He has a background of 12 years in the Ambulance Sector, working on the frontline, event medicine, rapid response, emergency medical dispatch and training. He has achieved his bachelor’s degree in Paramedic Science and old various other certifications. He also volunteers in his spare time to help progress current research articles by peer reviewing upcoming manuscripts for international journals and he has published papers on Covid-19, Vaccines and Health Education.

Sherry L. Stofko, MSN-Ed, CEN, CPEN, BC-NPD

Ms. Stofko is a long-time ED nurse with passions in EMS/emergency medicine and resiliency. She is board-certified in both Healthcare Education and Emergency Nursing (adult and pediatric) and holds a master’s degree in education. Currently, she is a self-employed, regional EMS educator and an instructor of ACLS, PALS, BLS, simulation, trauma, and dysrhythmia courses. She presents at conferences held by the Nevada Hospital Association, various nursing organizations, and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District Paramedic Refresher.
In 2020, Sherry was honored with three prestigious awards: 2020 Healthcare Educator of the Year by Nevada Business Magazine, 2020 Nurse Educator of the Year by the Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement, and the Nevada Nurses Foundation’s “50 Under 50.” As a regional leader in clinical education, Sherry focuses on increasing employee engagement and patient outcomes through interactive, innovative, relevant educational offerings. While Sherry often teaches on clinical skills, she also draws attention to the “softer” topics in healthcare such as perfectionism, gratitude, self-compassion, or delivering devastating news.

Saranya Maydevi, MD

Chris Jones, MS

Mr. Jones is currently working in law enforcement and has over 13 years of experience in the field. He holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice as well as a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Criminology from the University of Massachusetts. Mr. Jones is also a licensed EMT and has extensive experience in pre-hospital care as a first responder. He is currently certified as an instructor for Active Shooter Response and has partaken in security assessments for houses of worship and school buildings. Mr. Jones has also undergone training in sexual assault, crisis intervention, racial intelligence, incident response, and forensics.
Bruno Nogueira, MD
Emergency Medicine
Dr. Bruno is an Adjunct Professor of Emergencies at the Memorial University School of Medicine – in Canada. He also teaches Fundamentals of Neurosciences at the University of Ontario and is the Coordinator of the Center for Telemedicine at the largest university in the northern of Brazil called the Federal University of Amazonas. Dr. Bruno has conducted research and has focused on Medical Education, high-level technologies, qualitative and quantitative methodology applied to Medicine, Emergencies, Simulation, working under pressure, public health, training health professionals in cardiac arrest in remote and rural locations and sending of drones with AEDs to respond to emergencies via Telemedicine. He is a physician in Brazil with experience in emergency medicine since 2017 and Deputy Editor in Emergency Medicine of the Annals of Simulation of the Cureus Journal of Medical Science.

Mr. Eveleth has been in the Emergency Medical Services field for more than two decades and has been a Paramedic over 17 years and has a degree in Emergency Management. He began his career in EMS education instructing EMT and Paramedic courses for a local community college, and has been in EMS education for 16 years. He is currently certified as a Wyoming EMS educator/coordinator. Since becoming an EMS educator, he has instructed for several local community colleges, served as Training Officer for multiple services, and has spoken at multiple EMS conferences.
Adam Culbertson, MS

Mr. Culbertson has been in the Emergency Medical Services field for more than two decades and has been a Paramedic over 17 years. He began my career in EMS education instructing EMT and Paramedic courses for a local community college, and has been in EMS education for 13 years. He is currently certified as a North Carolina EMS Level II EMS Instructor. For the past year, Mr. Culbertson has served as the Fire and EMS Coordinator for Edgecombe Community College. Since becoming an EMS educator, he has instructed for several local community colleges. Most recently he has been tutoring students who need additional assistance preparing for the NREMT and NRP exam.
William Hathaway, BS

Mr. Hathaway is an Advanced Practice Paramedic currently working for Patronus Medical LLC as the Lead Paramedic at the Silo Ridge Field Resort Medical Clinic. He has been a leader and educator for over 40 years in various occupations to include paramedicine, EMS Leadership and Management, avionics, general mechanic and education. He believes his background and experience contribute immensely in adapting to the needs of his audience whether an attendee at a conference or a future EMT or paramedic in a certification class. Being a goal-oriented person with tons of patience, he is sure to gel with learners of all ages, adapt to their learning needs and train them in the required subjects with utmost care and concern for achieving educational goals. Mr. Hathaway has been received numerous awards for training excellence and leadership in his fields of expertise. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Granite State University with a Bachelors in EMS Management. He was driving force in working with Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy in introducing and the eventual passage of the Dale Long Act which made non-profit EMS providers and their surviving family’s eligible for Public Safety Officer Benefits (PSOB).
Andrew Steward, BS
Paramedic Medicine
Mr. Steward brings more than 20 years of experience in emergency services to his role with D&A Emergency Services Training & Consulting; having a particular focus in education. He holds numerous credentials in education in both the fire and EMS industries. Andrew previously served as a Fire Lieutenant and EMS Captain as 2 separate entities having oversight of training and has taught for several EMS programs. Further, he has worked for busy 911 services in both suburban and urban areas as well as within a university based critical care transport system. Andrew currently serves as the EMS Chief for Minquas Fire Company #2 in Downingtown, PA. He currently holds an associate degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University and a Bachelor’s in Emergency Management with a minor in Homeland Security through Waldorf University. When not found at work you can find him presenting at various EMS conferences or spending time with his family.
Stefani Ruiz, MHS
Infectious Disease Epidemiology
Ms. Ruiz is an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist with a Master’s degree in International Public Health. She specializes in field epidemiology and applying real world epidemiologic principles to control disease transmission and mitigate outbreaks. Stefani has worked with local and federal governments as well as NGOs for nearly 20 years where she oversaw a malaria lab for a refugee camp, managed a large global communicable disease surveillance program, taught numerous public health courses, and developed an on-line train the trainer course for COVID-19 contact tracing. As a subject matter expert in norovirus outbreak control, Stefani created a norovirus control guide for a federal customer and authored a field epidemiology text book style manual in basic applied epidemiology. She loves to teach and has a knack for breathing life into mundane topics. Her goal is to give her students the practical tools and resources they need so they can be the solution to someone’s problem and help others.
Malusi Mtetwa, BS
Paramedic
Mr. Mtetwa is an operational paramedic and has worked internationally, including in South Africa, the United Arabic Emirates, and Australia. Currently, he works for the South Australian Ambulance Service (SAAS). He is registered to practice as a paramedic with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Additionally, he is a member of the Australasian College of Paramedicine. He studied at the Durban University of Technology, completing a Bachelor of Technology in Emergency Medical Care. He is part of the voluntary section of SAAS’ Employee Wellness Program as a Peer Support Officer (PSO). PSOs are part of a first-line strategy that assists paramedics with work-related issues, personal issues, potentially traumatic events, group crisis strategies, and so forth.
Matias Nochetto, MD
Water/Dive Medicine
Dr. Nochetto runs the Medical Services Department at DAN, the backbone of the Divers Alert Network. His team of paramedics, nurses, and doctors handle over 3,500 emergency calls and about 5,000 medical inquiries per year worldwide. Nochetto is Co-Course Director of the DAN-UHMS Diving Medicine Course, a continuing medical education opportunity DAN has offered since 1982, and is often guest faculty on diving medicine courses and programs internationally. He works with a team to develop and implement various DAN medical programs at different levels, from laypeople to healthcare professionals. He has been a member of DAN's Institutional Review Board since its conception in 2010. Dr. Nochetto earned his medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires, and completed his fellowship at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in undersea and hyperbaric medicine. He is a Divermaster Instructor as well as a Dive Control Specialist Instructor.
Ekaterina Kostioukhina, MD

Dr. Kostioukhina is a Space Medicine consultant, Disaster Response physician and Harvard Scholar with an emphasis on human behavior in extreme environments which include space, underwater, and the cyberworld. She performs public speaking engagements to educate about emerging technologies and has been featured in a National Geographic documentary, multiple news channels, radio, and newspapers. She aspires to be a future astronaut.
Ken Frucci, AS

Mr. Frucci is a retired NYC EMT-Paramedic and operates a company called Corporate Medical Emergency Training which is a nationally approved continuing education provider with the Academy of General Dentistry and the New Jersey Dental Board. Dental Medical Emergencies and airway management certification courses are 2 of the specialized courses that Mr. Frucci offers to dental professionals. He is the director of dental medical emergencies training overseeing hundreds of dental practices for when a dental patient experiences a medical emergency while undergoing dental treatment. Mr. Frucci also holds instructor certifications in Stop the Bleed, OSHA Bloodbome Pathogens, Hazardous Communications, Opiate Overdose Awareness and Respiratory Protection Fit Test. He holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in EMS has over 25 years of field and education experience.

Frank Caruso, PA
Orthopedic Surgery
Mr. Caruso started his medical career as a Paramedic/Firefighter. He currently teaches both EMT and Paramedic programs, AHA courses and ITLS. He has developed Emergency Response Plans for fortune 500 companies in NYC. He participated in the development of the Stop The Bleed Program, and was invited to the White House to help develop the National Healthcare Disaster Certification Exam. He is a Deputy Commander on the DMAT team, SWAT medic, and currently works as a PA in the department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and his Doctorate in Medical Science. Mr. Caruso is eager to tutor you in the areas of his expertise.

He is also an Entrepreneur with Life 1 EMS based in USA, India and the UK through which he is delivering EMT education. Aaron Preston, BS

Mr. Preston is a qualified Emergency Care Practitioner from Nelson Mandela University. As an operational paramedic in Nelson Mandela Bay Eastern Cape SA, he has experience in a wide range of patients, including managing severe trauma patients. He has a deep passion for NICU and PICU transfers, as children deserve the best medical care available. He also has experience in rotor-wing transfers and maritime emergency rescues. Furthermore, Mr. Preston formed part of the frontline team managing and transporting the very sick COVID-19 patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and ICU care. He has been involved in the academic field as a lecturing assistant, first aid instructor, rescue instructor and second year coordinator at Nelson Mandela University. Mr. Spangler has 18 years of EMS in a variety of environments including 911 and critical care ground and air ambulance services. He has held a variety of leadership and educational roles throughout his career and from 2015-2019 he worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital, achieving promotion to the role of Operations Manager. He assisted in the creation and execution of several HCID exercises, working with partners from the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), the Department of State, and Health and Human Services (HHS) designed to integrate a variety of healthcare agencies with the goal of safely transferring Ebola patients to various hospitals throughout the United States
