About
Objective:
1.Differentiate the physiological differences between elderly, pediatric, and adult patients in response to traumatic injury.
2.Identify and manage common mechanisms of injury and injury patterns specific to elderly and pediatric trauma patients.
3.Apply age-appropriate assessment techniques and modify treatment protocols for elderly and pediatric trauma patients.
4.Recognize the importance of considering social and emotional factors in the care of elderly and pediatric trauma patients.
5.Describe the unique challenges in communication and patient advocacy when treating elderly and pediatric trauma patients.
Course Completion Requirements:
