Service Description
The American Red Cross (ARC) Babysitter's Training course is one of the most recognized babysitting certification programs in the United States. It is designed primarily for youth ages 11–16, although adults can also take some of the childcare courses. The goal is to prepare students to safely care for infants and children while developing confidence and professionalism. What students learn The course covers: Leadership and responsibility Starting and managing a babysitting business Communicating with parents Basic infant and child care Feeding Diapering Holding and carrying infants Putting children to bed Age-appropriate games and activities Child behavior management Safety in the home Emergency preparedness Recognizing illness and injuries Basic first aid concepts Handling common emergencies Professionalism and customer service Hands-on skills The in-person course includes practical activities such as: Diaper changing Holding and carrying infants Bottle feeding demonstrations Emergency scenarios Problem-solving exercises Interactive group discussions Role-playing with parents and children Course length
